For those of you I haven’t met, I’m Maisie, a freelance journalist with a flair for the fun, funky, and fabulous.

My work has appeared in publications such as The Geelong Advertiser.

I’m currently studying for my Bachelor of Journalism at RMIT, graduating in the class of 2026.

Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the feature and have found my home sharing the stories that enrich our communities, inspire our humanity, and garnish our lives with that little extra pinch of something.

A lifetime of worming my way into Geelong’s heart, along with a decade in hospitality, has afforded me an impressive understanding of what makes Geelong… Geelong. From culinary gems to the eccentrics behind them, secret parks and hidden gardens to local quirks and cultural oddities, I leave no stone unturned in my pursuit of amplifying what makes Geelong tick.
